Noah Elligott, Rio Guterres, Matthew McKechnie, and Simon Prest Join Whitecaps Academy

Now that the FIFA World Cup has come to a close, we’d like to celebrate four players who are beginning an exciting journey of their own…

Congratulations to Noah Elligott, Rio Guterres, Matthew McKechnie, and Simon Prest on earning their place with Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy!!

Their achievement reflects years of hard work, dedication, and a love for the game. These players have gone through every step of the process since very young, and we are so proud to see their effort come to fruition.

They didn’t achieve this on their own. Behind every you player is a family making countless sacrifices. Driving to training, supporting through setbacks, post-game talks, and encouraging a lifelong passion for the game. Congratulations to these four families for also doing their part!

This achievement is also a testament to the player development pathway at North Vancouver FC, where we strive to provide an environment that prepares players to reach the highest levels available for their age while helping them grow as athletes and as people.

To Noah, Rio, Matthew, Simon, and your families: thank you for trusting NVFC to be part of your journey. We are incredibly proud of what you have accomplished and can’t wait to see what comes next.
