NVFC Players Invited to Join Whitecaps FC and Vancouver Rise
Six NVFC Players Offered Full-Time Opportunities with Whitecaps FC and Vancouver Rise Academies
North Vancouver FC is proud to announce that six players from our BCSPL program have been offered full-time positions with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy and Vancouver Rise FC Academy starting in Fall 2025. This milestone marks a record intake for NVFC, highlighting the continued strength and progression of our player development pathway.
Congratulations to the following players:
- Jacqueline Cuthill (2010)
- Abigail D’Avellar (2012)
- Esme Jones (2012)
- Atticus Bigsby (2012)
- Grady Baker (2012)
- Oliver Dunn (2012)
These athletes have shown exceptional dedication and growth throughout their time with NVFC and the BCSPL program. Their selection for full-time programming at the next level reflects not only their hard work, but also the strength of our development environment and the support of our wider soccer community. “I’ve been training with NVFC since I was six. The coaches have always been nice to me and the sessions are high intensity. I am sad to leave NVFC, but I am also very excited to join to Whitecaps” — Oliver Dunn.
“We are extremely proud of the six North Vancouver FC players that have been offered the opportunity to advance into full-time programming with Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy and Vancouver Rise FC Academy next season. This milestone moment for NVFC builds on the club’s strong history of player progression, with a club record number of players offered this opportunity in one intake window, showcasing the club’s ongoing commitment to player development and advancement.”
— Robbie Tice, Technical Director, North Vancouver FC
“My time at NVFC has prepared me so well for the Rise, so I’m very excited to keep going!” — Jacqueline Cuthill.
The club also recognizes the importance of mentorship in a player’s journey. Last month, Alia Rogers, Sofia Tkac and Bo Dunn, who all previously progressed from NVFC to Whitecaps / Rise programming, attended one NVFC Academy session to speak at a mentorship and Q&A session with the NVFC players progressing! Their stories, support and guidance continue to inspire the next generation.
NVFC would like to extend thanks to our BCSPL Regional Partner Clubs, including North Shore Girls Soccer Club, for their key role in the early development of Jacqueline, Abigail and Esme prior to their transition into the NVFC BCSPL Program.
We look forward to supporting these players as they continue their soccer journeys and thank the families, coaches, partner clubs and teammates who have contributed to their development.
