Registration Process Frequently Asked Questions

Why is North Vancouver FC using TeamSnap for Spring Break Camps registration?

The main overall reason is to provide Club members with a more positive Club experience.

You’ll recall that NVFC provided all of its members with TeamSnap for free. As a result, over 90% of Club members are connected through TeamSnap. The feedback we received on TeamSnap has been very positive. Our members are comfortable using TeamSnap and rely on it during the soccer season. As a result, NVFC is determining if using TeamSnap for program registrations is right for the Club.

In addition, the Club is always trying to improve communications to our members and TeamSnap allows the Club to communicate easily and more effectively than our existing systems. We also know that the majority of Club members have smartphones and the Club’s aim is to provide our members with a mobile friendly registration system.

But most importantly, we know that our Club members volunteer countless hours of time to the Club. We want to ensure that the Club utilizes a registration system that reduces the amount of overall administration work for our members.

Do I have to have a TeamSnap account to register for a camp?

Yes, similar to NVFC’s existing registration system a TeamSnap account is required. If you don’t have an TeamSnap account, please go to http://www.teamsnap.com

Do I have to be signed into my TeamSnap account to register for a camp?

Yes. If you are not signed into your account, you will be shown this screen:

What information do I have to enter into which fields?

You are entering information into the fields that apply to the player who will be participating in the camp and the relevant information that apply to them. For example, who should be contacted if there is a medical emergency.

What do you use the contact information for?

The contact information that you provide is used to communicate upcoming details on the camp as well as any information that may be relevant to the camp, for example contact or medical information.

Why has the waiver release and photo consent form changed?

NVFC recently updated its waiver release and photo consent form to better address the current state of youth sports as it relates to non-profit organizations. The last time NVFC’s waiver release/photo consent form was updated a few years ago. As a Club, we are always reviewing our policies to ensure that they are up to date and represent the best interests of our Club members, Board of Directors, and staff.

Where is my registration information stored and for how long?

TeamSnap is a US-based service and as a result, TeamSnap account data is stored at data centres in the US. You can review the Teamsnap policy on privacy, security and data retention here:
