Travel Reimbursement

Single Day Events 

The Club may reimburse up to a maximum of $450 per trip of travel costs to the Sunshine Coast or games outside of the BCCSL boundaries for league sanctioned or BCSA sanctioned regular season or cup games.  To save costs we recommend that:
  • Players carpool to the ferry.
  • Drivers park at the ferry parking, and all players and parents go on the ferry as foot passengers except bring one car on the ferry in case of an emergency.
  • Hire a shuttle service to drive your team to and from the field where your game is scheduled.

The team should pool their receipts for each game, and send them in to treasurer@nvfc.ca.  They should indicate who the cheque should be sent to (name & address).  That person can then distribute the reimbursement as required.
Players age 18 and under can travel for free to Bowen Island for a sporting event. You must contact the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal before you travel and present them with a letter listing the players’ names & ages. Players must travel together. Parents must purchase a ticket (it is less expensive to purchase a BC Ferries Experience card for all parents traveling with the team). The field is within walking distance - off the ferry and up the hill. No reimbursements will be provided for games on Bowen Island. 

Multiple Day Events

The Club may reimburse up to a maximum of $950 per event for teams participating in BCSA or CSA sanctioned Provincial or National Championship events, that involve multiple games on more than one day, if it requires travel to Sunshine Coast or outside of the BCCSL boundaries.  


All reimbursements are subject to the Club budget for travel reimbursements for the season. The reimbursement, in part or in whole, must be approved by the Club Treasurer.
