North Vancouver FC is excited to announce the selection of the BCSPL 2010 Intake coaches: Amelia NG as head coach of the girls team and Alvaro D’Almeida for the boys team.

About Amelia…

Born in Hong Kong, Amelia has been coaching soccer since she was 16. After spending the last 5 pre-covid years coaching in Victoria BC, she moved back to the Lower Mainland and currently coaches with the North Shore Girls Soccer Club as their Technical Development Manager, overseeing the U9-U12 teams, as well as, their Development Center and Prospects Academy. She is also the assistant coach with the Douglas College Women’s Soccer program.

Following her varsity career at SFU, Amelia worked with several clubs as part of their technical staff. Most recently, she worked with Lakehill Soccer Association in Vancouver Island, working with Division 1 U11 and U12 teams as their head coach. In addition, she was the Head Coach and Assistant Coach of several BCSPL teams ranging from U13 intakes to U18 with the Vancouver Island Wave. Amelia holds a Canadian National B License.

Amelia has two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Kinesiology and one in Athletic Therapy. She specializes in field and clinical work with sports teams as an Athletic Therapist. She works extensively in rehabilitation with young athletes, elite athletes and your everyday athlete.

Amelia has a passion for mentoring and empowering young female athletes and strongly believes in community involvement with her teams. While on the Island, she organized several ‘1-day academy by donation’ where her female athletes coached sessions for 5-9-year-old players, providing an opportunity to her players to mentor younger athletes as well as to fundraise for local charities.
