New Appointed Senior Staff
To all NVFC members,
The NVFC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that after a comprehensive review and search, the Club has been able to significantly strengthen and revamp its senior technical staff with 3 new appointments.
NVFC is committed to its vision of delivering the highest standards of excellence in soccer development to every player in our Club. This commitment demands NVFC is led by staff and coaches that will allow its players to optimize their potential and access the highest-level training and playing opportunities.
As one of the province’s top Clubs, we were proud to see our teams win multiple provincial and league titles over the past year and become a leading club in the top youth league, the BCSPL. The pathways for players at NVFC have never been clearer or more exciting.
Steve Kindel will remain as Senior Technical Director in overall charge of all soccer and technical aspects of the Club. He will be supported by senior staff, Technical Director Robbie Tice, Academy Director Andy Peat and U5-U10 House Technical Lead and Camps Director Wisam Souki.
A little about our new senior appointments:
Robbie most recently worked at the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he served as the Technical Manager and Head Coach of the Network Partner Program and the Associate Head Coach for Mainland Academy Centres. A former Canadian Men’s National Futsal Team player, he has held previous positions at the TSS Academy and Coastal FC. Robbie holds the A National License, B License, Technical Director Diploma, the US Soccer Federation National Youth License, and many other certificates.
Andy Peat joined NVFC as a High-Performance coach in 2021. He has over 10 years of experience in video performance analysis, having served as a senior analyst for the Canadian Soccer Association, the Vancouver Whitecap’s first team, and both the Canadian and New Zealand Women’s National Teams. Throughout his career, Andy accumulated over 100 FIFA International Games with Canada and New Zealand, attended five FIFA World Cups & 1 Olympic Games, and was present with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the 2017 Playoffs, 2017 CONCACAF Semi-final, and was a Canadian Cup Finalist in 2018.
Wisam Souki is one of the most fun and engaging U5 coaches in Vancouver and has been with us since 2017. Last year, Wisam skilfully managed programs with over 400 players and ended the season with very high levels of satisfaction from our members. He has played for the Venezuelan National Team and professionally in Argentina. Wisam also has a strong background in public relations and marketing, making him not only a great communicator on the field but an avid and detailed planner when it comes to building our programs.
NVFC is confident these quality, professional individuals, will provide the best environment for young soccer players to succeed and develop their full potential. They will build upon the platform left by former Technical Director Mike D’Agostino, whose role at NVFC helped lead him to his current senior coaching role with Whitecaps FC.
NVFC has never been stronger. We are excited to begin play in the 2022-2023 season.
